A fine pair of mid 18th Century Chippendale period Gainsborough Library Armchairs, having square backs, above acanthus carved set-back arms, supported on splay cabriole legs with pad feet to the rear, and boldly carved cabriole front legs with shell carving to the knees, ending on "hairy paw" feet with leather castors.
