A rare pair of early 19th century mahogany library writing tables having beaded edge and rectangular tops above beaded friezes containing concealed drawers. The tables raised on ornately turned and reeded column end supports supported on beaded plinths with 'melon' feet enclosing concealed castors. For similar design see Gillows sketch book dated 1824.
