An important pair of mid-18th Century Chippendale period mahogany Gainsborough Chairs, having set-back arms with rosettes & leaf scroll carving supported on cabriole legs to front & set-back legs to rear, all carved with acanthus & “C” scroll decoration with lion’s heads holding stylised rings, supported on carved claw feet.  (Possibly Irish).
